Recruit 121 (Finance, Technology, and Executive) is excited to be partnering again with the Centre for Finance, Innovation and Technology (CFIT) in recruiting the unique opportunity of a Coalitions Analyst.

CFIT is a pioneering early-stage start-up on a mission to revolutionise UK finance, innovation, and technology. Our ethos centres on action, not mere words. As Coalitions Analyst reporting to the Head of Coalitions, you will play a pivotal role in designing, facilitating, and executing groundbreaking coalitions aimed at tackling the most pressing challenges in the industry. You’ll work in close partnership with the Director of Coalitions & Research.

Clear communication to guide execution will be a focal point of your role. Collaborating with leading experts across the UK ecosystem, you’ll orchestrate time-bound virtual coalitions that drive impactful outcomes for consumers and SMEs, dismantling growth barriers in financial technology.

These coalitions provide CFIT with agility and responsiveness in a rapidly evolving industry, with a strong emphasis on regional opportunities to accelerate ideation, design, and implementation. Your remit includes supporting the Head of Coalitions in the execution of critical business and technical requirements, in line with program objectives.

You’ll harness the expertise of the best talents, skills, and technology across the UK ecosystem, ensuring alignment on priority items that drive the critical path. Your skill in resolving issues and managing stakeholder expectations will ensure objectives are completed with excellence, on time, and within budget.

The inaugural coalition in open finance seeks to unlock potent datasets, boosting efficiency, personalisation, and risk reduction for SMEs and consumers. It’s an ambitious agenda with the power to birth new products, services, and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Collaboration and Alignment: Collaborate with the Head of Coalitions to support the strategic planning and execution of coalition initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
  • Methodology Development and Optimisation: Assist in the development and implementation of project management methodologies and tools to streamline coalition workflows and optimise outcomes.
  • Efficient Administrative Management: Manage administrative tasks related to coalition activities, including scheduling meetings, documenting minutes, and maintaining organised records.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Support the creation and refinement of coalition project plans, timelines, and deliverables to ensure successful project execution.
  • Effective Communication Coordination: Coordinate communication among coalition members, stakeholders, and partners, ensuring information flow and effective collaboration.
  • Insightful Data Synthesis: Gather and synthesise data from various sources to provide insights that inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Presentation and Documentation: Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and documentation for coalition meetings, workshops, and stakeholder engagements.
  • Risk Identification and Mitigation: Contribute to the identification of risks and challenges within coalition projects and collaborate on mitigation strategies.
  • Progress Tracking and Reporting: Assist in tracking progress, milestones, and key performance indicators of coalition initiatives, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Strategic Idea Contribution: Participate in strategic discussions and brainstorming sessions to contribute ideas for enhancing coalition impact and efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide project management support by facilitating communication among cross-functional teams involved in coalition initiatives.
  • Organisational Integration: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure proper integration of coalition projects within the overall organisational framework.

Key Capabilities:

The successful candidate will be able to manage the delivery of coalition objectives, adhering to agreed resources, timelines, budgets for high-quality outputs. Combining interpersonal communication skills, and multi-stakeholder programme management with transformation experience in financial services.

  • Project Management: Proficient in project management methodologies, tools, and practices to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of coalition initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration among coalition members, stakeholders, and partners.

  • Organisational Skills: Skilful in organising and managing information, documentation, and schedules related to coalition activities.
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks, meet deadlines, and ensure the smooth progression of coalition initiatives.
  • Attention to Deadlines: Consistently meets project deadlines and milestones to maintain the momentum of coalition projects.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Builds positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills in both virtual and in-person settings.
